    English Language Requirements to Study in Sweden

    Residence Permit

    A student planning for a full time study for a period exceeding 3 months should apply for a residence Permit for studies in Sweden. To apply for a permit student must have been admitted to a full-time accredited university course in Sweden and should have paid a first installment of his tuition fee.

    Permits for Family member

    A family member(s)of a student with a residence permit for studies at a university can also apply for their residence permit for the same period of time. If the permit is for longer than 6 months family member can get a work permit. Spouse can work full time during the course of study.

    Requirements for residence permit

     You are eligible for a residence permit if your family member have a residence permit for studies and if you Have your support secured for the whole planned period of stay in Sweden. Support requirement fund is SEK 3500 per month for a Spouse and SEK 2100 per month for a child.

     Yes, they get full time work rights while studies There is no 20 hr / week restriction as in other countries. They get resident permit card right from the beginning.
