    Visa for Students:

    There are different type of visas for Students which is known as S-1 and SW-1 Visas.

    1. S-1 Visa is a Study Only Visa which permit you only to study. With this Visa, you can do part time but not the internship. You can upgrade your S-1 Visa to SW-1 Visa without any additional cost, once you find a co-op.
    2. SW-1 Visa is Study and Work Visa. It normally given to those who do a course where internship, or co-op program are compulsory and requires Credits Of Work.

    Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada

    Canada provides Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) to the students who do a course at a designated learning institute (DLI). It helps international gain work experience in Canada after their studies. The duration of PGWP differs based on the duration of the study program.

    1. The minimum duration of the course must be 8 months in order to get Post Study Work Visa.
    2. If the course program duration is less than 8 months, you are not eligible for a Post Study Work Visa.
    3. If the program duration is more than 8 months but less than 2 years, then Post Study Work Visa will be given for the same length as the study program.
    4. If the course duration is 2 years or more, Post Study Work Visa will be given for 3 years.
    5. If a student has completed more than one program, they may be able to get a PSW that combines the length of both the programs.
